Intensive Therapy
What are Intensive Therapy Sessions?
Therapy intensives offer a focused, extended therapeutic experience designed to create space for deeper work in a shorter period of time. Rather than meeting for a traditional 50–60 minute session, intensives provide additional time to slow down, explore what’s underneath the surface, and work intentionally toward your therapeutic goals. Intensives may incorporate approaches such as EMDR, IFS-informed work, and other trauma-focused interventions based on your individual needs.
Intensives Are Good For:
● Focus on a specific issue or therapeutic goal
● Process a significant or complex experience
● Move through a period of feeling stuck in therapy
● Have limited availability for traditional weekly sessions
● Create dedicated space for deeper emotional processing
● Prepare for or work through a major life transition
● Supplement your ongoing therapy with focused therapeutic work
Intensives are available for established The Heart healing Institute clients and those who have an outside weekly therapist, but still needing specialized time and space for additional integrated work
Cost & Insurance
Therapy intensives are a private-pay service and cannot be billed to or submitted through insurance. Insurance benefits, including out-of-network benefits, cannot be used for intensive sessions. Client engaging in intensives will be asked to sign Consent to Services paperwork including Insurance Opt-Out greement.
Because intensives involve extended and specialized therapeutic time, they are priced separately from standard individual therapy sessions.
The recommended amount of hours for intensive sessions vary by client. Through consultation, we'll discuss your specialized needs for your intensive.
Inventive Therapy Sessions are $200/Hour

Intensives are structured around your individual therapeutic goals and the amount of time needed to support meaningful work. Sessions are offered in extended blocks rather than traditional 50–60 minute appointments, allowing us to dedicate uninterrupted time to focused therapeutic work. Before scheduling an intensive, we’ll discuss your goals, determine whether an intensive format is clinically appropriate, and identify the structure that best supports your needs. Your intensive may include periods of therapeutic processing, reflection, resourcing, grounding, and integration to help you move through the experience intentionally.
Together we'll choose the format that aligns with the depth and amount of time you’re looking for:
One-Day Intensive : 3–6 hours of focused therapeutic work completed in one day.
Two-Day Intensive : 10–12 hours total, with 5–6 hours of therapeutic work per day across two days.
Three-Day Intensive: 15–18 hours total, with 5–6 hours of therapeutic work per day across three days.
Multi-day option may be scheduled back to back or apart depending on availability and nature of work.
Your intensive may include periods of therapeutic processing, reflection, resourcing, grounding, and integration. Breaks will be incorporated throughout extended sessions to support your ability to remain present and engaged in the work.
At the end of scheduled intensive additional intensive hours can be booked.
